The ovoid body having a ground of semi-translucent white moire enamel with applied ribbon-tied, ruby-set, two-color gold foliate swags. The cover set with adularescent moonstone, seed pearls, rose cut diamonds and rubies in three-color gold forming a rosette with alternating bell flowers and jeweled tassels. Raised on a white guilloche enameled inverted conical foot having a beaded and banded border atop a white socle with applied rosettes. The diamond and ruby thumb piece releases the hinged cover to reveal a "surprise" of white enameled flowers set with rubies within a cache pot surrounded by a red guilloche table. The top further lined in white velvet. Together with its' lined and fitted beech wood traveling box. Circa - Mid. 20th C.Size: 130mm Weight: 295gm
